How to add your business to Hotfrog

Is competition for customers fierce in your industry? Did you know that one of the most effective ways for businesses to be found online is by advertising on Hotfrog - have you joined yet?

Hotfrog is a free online business directory featuring more than 66 million* businesses across 36 directories around the world. One of the reasons Hotfrog works so well is because search engines index Hotfrog's business profiles. So when potential customers use Google, Yahoo!, Bing or other search engines they're able to find your Hotfrog profile really easily.

How to add your business to Hotfrog

Now you know the benefits of adding your business to Hotfrog, find out how easy it is to do by following these five steps:

Step 1 Business name and address

Simply click the 'Add your business' link in the top left hand corner of any Hotfrog page and you will be taken to the 'Create your business profile' page. Type in your business name and address and click 'Next' to continue.

Step 2 Contact details

Fill out your business contact details, making sure to include all your contact points so potential customers can easily reach you in the way they prefer. For more information on this step, read How to add and edit contact details. Click 'Next' to continue.

Step 3 Keywords

Keywords are words or short phrases a potential customer would type into a search engine to find your products or services. Remember, the more relevant keywords you add, the better chance your profile will have of being found by buyers who are searching online for what your business offers.

Add keywords by simply typing them into the box under 'Add your keywords', then click 'Add'. You can also choose keywords by clicking on any of Hotfrog's suggestions. Keywords can be seen in the box titled 'Your selected keywords'. To find out more about adding keywords, see How to add relevant keywords to your profile. Click 'Next' to move to the fourth step.

Step 4 About your business

One of the first things a potential customer will read about your business is the description, so make sure you give an overview of what you offer in the text, answering any questions they are likely to ask.

Step 5 Login Details

Finally, set up your login details so you can visit Hotfrog any time to update your profile. Make sure you fill in all fields, including the security code.

After this step a prompt will appear, confirming you have the authority to add this information on behalf of the business. Don't forget to read the Hotfrog Terms of Use and Privacy Policy before clicking 'I accept. Add my business now', because this confirms you have read and understand the terms and are happy to be bound by them.

You will automatically be logged in to your Hotfrog dashboard and receive an email from Hotfrog to validate your email address after this step.
